Common questions
Everything from coming solo to the weather to bringing your dog. If you cannot find the answer here, we are a quick email away.
Can I come alone?+
Yes. Most women do. There is always a host welcoming everyone, and our events are designed for solo arrivals.
Are your events women only?+
Yes. Sunlight Society events are for women and non-binary people who feel comfortable in a women's space.
Are the hikes suitable for beginners?+
Almost all of our London hikes are beginner friendly. Day hikes are marked with a clear difficulty so you can choose what feels right.
How difficult are the hikes?+
We label every hike as Beginner, Moderate or Challenging. Beginner means a relaxed pace with stops. Challenging means a longer day with elevation.
What should I bring?+
Each event listing has its own kit list. As a rule, comfortable shoes, water and light layers cover most of what you need.
Are tickets refundable?+
Tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the event. After that we can transfer you to a friend or to a future event.
What happens if the weather is bad?+
We hike in light rain. If conditions are unsafe we reschedule or refund. Studio events run rain or shine.
Can I bring my dog?+
Most of our hikes are dog friendly. Look for the dog symbol on the event page, or message us before booking.
How do I travel to countryside hikes?+
We travel together from a London station. Travel details and tickets are included in the event price unless stated otherwise.
Do I need my own mat?+
For outdoor classes please bring a mat or large towel. Studio events have mats provided.
Can brands collaborate with Sunlight Society?+
Yes, please visit our Partnerships page. We work with wellness, fitness, food, drink and lifestyle brands.
Can instructors host an event with you?+
Absolutely. We are always looking to collaborate with female instructors. Get in touch via the contact page.
